What a lovely Lovely vintage find. This is the second one that I have owned. The first I only let go because the sale of it paid for my youngest sons band camp. I vowed if I found another and had the money I would buy it. Not only is it the 221 but the Centennial Model. Identical to my first one.
This is a quilters dream. It will chew through 16 layers of jean material. I tried on the first one I just kept folding it kept sewing.
This is how it came out of the original carrying case. It needs cleaning. I only run the motor for a second. I will wait on Handy Hubby to oil it and clean it before I polish it and thread it. All steel construction work horses even by today's standards.
She came with her original case , foot pedal , tattered yet readable instruction booklet ( missing the cover) and a box of attachments and screwdriver.
Singer Machines are considered works of art. Form and function at its best. It will make a nice companion to the 1952 Singer 201 heavy duty machine that I have and use.
Hope this little post finds you Happy and Healthy.
