This was a long awaited remodel. The before pictures are a little embarrassing. This bathroom, after 30 years of use, got to to a state that it did not matter how much I cleaned it , it still looked pretty bad.
The first thing we did was gut the bath room. We removed everything and installed ship lap on the exterior back wall, painted and added LVP flooring. We ordered the vanity from Home depot. The shower stall and new toilet came from Lowes.
I really like this little room now. It is basic. Everything you need in a "guest" Bathroom. The vanity does have three drawers that are functional. Hides a lot of stuff. I like the "furniture" lines on the vanity , it has a slight bow to the front.
We trimmed the window out in ship lap boards and I love the effect. That is a small window with the large trim it makes it look larger and cleaner. The ledge is a great spot for a few, of too may, vintage paperweights I own.
The shower was a difficult install. If you do not have plumbing experience, or speak installation manual, you may want to hire a professional. Mental note this is also a bear to clean. ..But its pretty!
The bird art work I put together from an old Audubon book and some cheap frames from Amazon.
A great alternative to expensive art work and mass produced art work.
I know this blog post is short and does not entail everything that went in to this remodel. It took time and money and swear words. However I hope you are inspired to tackle that last room. To take on that project you have been putting off because it is intimidating. Like my daddy used to say: "Grab it and Growl" We are glad we did!
