Sweet salvage China cabinet refinish

This was literally a barn find.  This little gal had been in a barn for storage and endured some rough weather and nasty critters.  I could not pass her up.  What charm and grace and I knew just the two gals to pick her up..Edna (blue) and Blanche (old white) By Southern Honey..

The front has duct tape glue all over it...

Busted Drawer that was also water damaged and warped

water damage on the side...

I painted the interior Edna blue as well as the decorative top.
The drawer unfortunately was to warped and at this time we simply put the front back on as a fake drawer until Handy Hubby gets Froggy and makes a new one..I replaced the original hardware with glass knobs that I found at World Market.

The Interior shelving has wonderful plate groves but as you can see was in rough shape..

A little paint took care of that...

I love her new look.  Bathroom towel storage or nursery. What a fun project.

As always hope this read finds You and Yours Happy,
 Healthy and Blessed.

  3. Love it! Your description of how you found it almost brought tears to my eyes. I love the stories (and pictures) of restoring the beauty and personality of an derelict house or piece of furniture, like some people love fairy tales and love stories. That's why I still love our circa 1927 home despite its "money pit" tendencies and frustrations. It'll be beautiful again some day......maybe not in my lifetime.

  5. I love these little china cabinets. I restored one that was also in rough shape. When I bought it the previous owner stopped in the middle of restoring it, so it was in pieces. We had to figure out how to put it all back together. It's still one of my all time favorites. Great job on your cabinet, Dee from My Painted Stuff
