Waiting Patiently ..........

Figs are the fruit that either you love or you hate...not many "inbetweeners" can be found....I have been blessed with a very happy fig tree..that gets checked every morning for that first ripe fruit.

This Photo was taken from top of a hill.  The fig is well over 10 feet tall full this year...

The great thing about a fig is that it is easy to grow.  This fig tree does not seem to be effected by any bugs or fungus...it is happy and healthy..I mostly stand at this tree and "graze" the fruit is wonderfully sweet. Once you pick it you need to act fast fresh figs do not last long in the fridge.  I prefer to partially dry the figs then store them in the freezer they make a great sweet treats.  Once they begin to ripen you also need to act fast the birds and bees love them too!...So...I am waiting patiently....
